Validation in continuing vocational education and training: Exchange on theory and practice
Abstract
Valiskills3 (2018-1-DE02-KA204-005028) focuses on the development of a robust procedure for the identification and assessment of proven competences for adults with work experience but low formal qualifications with regard to a demand-oriented preparation for the subsequent acquisition of a vocational qualification (validation, certification).
In the two predecessor projects, the project partnership first developed the Valiskills procedure as an example for qualification-oriented post-qualification in a commercial occupation in the German continuing education market. In the second project cycle, the focus was on the expansion to further occupational areas, the development of a training offer for Valiskills professionals (counsellors, experts) and the further development of the Valiskills e-portfolio.
In Valiskills3, partners from Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland and Austria are working together to transfer the Valiskills method to other European countries and to incorporate good practice approaches from the participating countries into the further improvement of the Valiskills products.
