Evaluation of the educational concept "Life Champion"
Abstract
Life CHAMPION is a concept for school education in the frame of vocational orientation education at middle schools.
In this pilot project the concept is being tested in two middle schools in the region of Burgenland in the term of February 2014 till February 2016. During the project run, students intensively are concerned with occupational profiles and the regional labour market. The project provides different benefits for students and schools: Tools for the lessons such as information and learning materials, and especially the development of interfaces and partnerships to regional enterprises. In this way, vocational orientation in schools gets stronger engaged with information close to reality.
abif evaluates the project during the whole process. In the center of attention is the question of how the project contributes to a successful teaching of vocational orientation and how it can support students during their vocational orientation and choices. The evaluation includes the perspectives of students, parents, teachers, and engaged enterprises.
