EU.EM.NET - European systematic approach for employers’ engagement to anticipate skills requirements and support quality assurance (QA) in VET
Abstract
The Project, co-financed by the Leonardo da Vinci Programme for Life Long Learning of the
European Commission, focuses on the future skill demand in the tourism & hospitality sector.
The aim of the project is to develop a methodology for the prediction of future skill demand in
this sector.
The developed methodology will build on two principles:
1) Use of a participatory approach – the employers will have a central role in the process of
skill prediction
2) Use of scenario technique for the prediction of future skill demand
Furthermore the project aims at testing the developed methodology in all partner countries and
to formulate on the basis of testing results recommendations for policy maker and country
specific VET-systems. The partnership consist of institutions from 9 different European
countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia
und Turkey.
