Project Title

Handbook on Methods in vocational Orientation for persons with migration background or in a multicultural context

Abstract

Based on the research project "Vocational Orientation in the Focus of active Labour Market Policy" that was carried out in the years 2002/2003 on behalf of the Public Employment Service Austria (Dep. Labour Market and Vocational Orientation) abif created three handbooks:

• "Practical handbook vocational orientation",


• "Handbook on Methods in Vocational Orientation for Women" and


• "Practical handbook on methods in vocational rehabilitation"

The success of these publications, due to their profound and practical handbook form that provides relevant methods and tools of applied vocational orientation and guidance which is directed towards the labour market situation, and the great interest in a publication on vocational Orientation for persons with migration background or in a multicultural context, abif will create a subsequent Handbook. Based on the above-mentioned research project it will be carried out with additional cooperation of different migration associations.
