Project Title

Handbook on Methods in Vocational Orientation for Women

Abstract

On the basis of the research project "Vocational Orientation in the Focus of active Labour Market Policy" that was carried out in the years 2002/2003 on behalf of the Public Employment Service Austria (Dep. Labour Market and Vocational Orientation) abif created two handbooks:

- Handbook on General Methods in Vocational Orientation (2005)
- Handbook on Methods in Vocational Rehabilitation (2006).

Both publications arouse sustained great interest due to their profound and practical handbook form that provides relevant methods and tools of applied vocational orientation and guidance which is directed towards the labour market situation.
In accession the Handbook on Vocational Orientation for Women is created that shall be realized within the scope of AMS report special. This is the answer to the demand of a methods' handbook for women. It will be 100-120 pages long and shall involve the experience of trainers who carry out group training of vocational orientation and guidance. The handbook shall provide methods on the topics orientation, activation, information, potential analysis and job finding.
