Occupational choice brochure for pupils having passed the school leaving examination
Abstract
On behalf of the AMS Austria, the department for vocational information and qualification research (BIQ) abif compiled an occupational choice brochure for pupils having passed the school leaving examination with the goal of offering the graduates from the AHS- and BHS information on orientation, education and occupational choice.
Apart from information concerning career entry (application strategies, work contracts etc..) and further trainings the graduates should also receive tips as to how to analyse their abilities and interests as well as to how to carry out an independent information search.
Results from relevant studies, different media and/or interviews with experts and pupils having passed the school leaving examination were pulled up. In addition an address and a Web listing as well as an index of brochures and materials were researched upon and prepared.
The publication appeared in the autumn 2005.
