Project "Sustainable Employment Integration"
Project Title
Sustainable Employment Integration in Burgenland in Comparison with Austria
Abstract
In some cases, job placements are not sustainable despite funding or training measures, and employment
relationships end after only a short period of time. However, the AMS aims to support the long-term
integration of individuals into the primary labour market. The present study therefore examines which
factors promote or hinder sustainable employment and which options for action are available to the AMS.
Particular attention is paid to regional differences between Burgenland and other Austrian federal states, as
well as to the influence of mobility, funding measures, and counselling support.
Using a mixed-
methods approach, the study will conduct quantitative analyses of AMS data on participation in labour
market measures and subsequent job placements between 2021 and 2025. In addition, surveys and
interviews with AMS clients, AMS counsellors, and employers will be carried out in order to identify the
causes of employment terminations and the success factors for sustainable labour market integration.
Among other aspects, the study will examine funding instruments, counselling intensity, mobility, employer
requirements, and the challenges faced by different target groups.
The aim of the study is to
develop evidence-based recommendations for AMS Burgenland and AMS Austria in order to better support
sustainable labour market integration in the future.
