Project "Occupational maps ("Berufswanderkarten")"
Project Title
From brown to green: career change paths for socio-ecological transformation
Abstract
In the course of climate change and the necessary decarbonisation of economy and society, it can be assumed that the demand for workers in "brown" or "fossil" jobs will tend to shrink in the coming years and that there will be a growing demand for environmentally and climate-relevant "green" jobs. In order to make this socio-ecological transformation as smooth as possible, potential job or career changers need guidance on suitable paths from their original occupations to their target occupations and on the necessary qualification requirements. The focus is on initial occupations and activities that could shrink over the next ten years due to ecological change. One result of the study will be detailed profiles of source and target occupations and corresponding transitions within the framework of further training pathways, which will subsequently be condensed into " occupational maps".
