Project "VIRTUAL JOB"
Project Title
VIRTUAL JOB - Developing Digital and AR-related Competencies for Employment Counsellors and Vocational Guidance staff supporting ‘preboarding’ and ‘onboarding’ for companies, VET graduates and job seekers
Abstract
VIRTUAL JOB aims to support the digital upskilling of Europe’s guidance practitioners (employment
counsellors, careers counsellors, job brokers) who are working in adult education and with job seekers of all
ages to access employment and educational pathways. Specifically, the project focuses on the evolving use
of digital diagnostic, screening and matching functionalities and virtual job and careers fairs by companies
and education authorities for preboarding, onboarding and mobility.

 Implemented by a new
consortium involving 6 partners from 6 countries, VIRTUAL JOB designs and tests a new human- centred
learning and upskilling C-VET programme for Guidance Practitioners. Its contents focus on cutting edge
uses of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) matching environments and Artificial Intelligence-based
interfaces in this field. It is operationalised via action learning and masterclasses at both transnational
(online and co-creation workshops in person) and national levels.

 VIRTUAL JOB creates a new
European Cooperation Partnership network, representing ‘incoming’ and ‘outgoing’ net levels of migrating
job seekers. Via its online, transnational practice community, the staging of participatory, in person
European co-creation and action learning and national engagement showcasing events, it will directly
engage a minimum of 150 guidance practitioners as well as producing new methods-based eLearning
material and policy recommendations for stakeholders.
